Originally this was the main street in the village and travellers would have come down Cherry Hill and forded the river at the bottom of the street. The houses overlooking the river are fine examples of Irish Georgian homes with one exception Glynnna-Shee, which is English Georgian. You can tell the difference by the brickwork of the chimneys.
